British Blind Sport is a registered charity and the co-ordinating body of sport for the blind and partially sighted in the UK. BBS tries to encourage as many blind and partially sighted children and adults as possible to participate in sport at all levels. All the sports are run by sub committees, staffed by visually impaired and sighted volunteers.

The National 5-A-Side Football League for VI players was founded in 1980. Football Clubs from various locations in Great Britain make up the structure of a very competitive and well-organised league which is played at various venues throughout the UK.

British Blind Sport football development days are hosted at various venues throughout the UK.

An annual Schools 5-a-side tournament takes place at the Aston Villa Leisure Centre in Birmingham. This caters for players and teams of all abilities.
