The FA's Football for Disabled People Strategy has firmly placed the FA as the world leading governing body in the development of disability football. The success of the strategy has seen an explosion of opportunity through schools programmes, Ability County and Charter Standard Clubs, regional football festivals and leagues, through to Coaching Centres and the six England disability football squads

Although the strategy includes participation for all, it enables elite performers to be guided through a "Player Pathway" to the national teams.

There are six international disability squads, one for each specific impairment. These squads represent England in friendly internationals as well as in European and World Championships.

The six international Disability squads are:
  • England Amputee Football Team
  • England Blind Team
  • England Partially Sighted Team
  • England Deaf and Hearing Impaired Team
  • England Cerebal Palsy Team
  • England Learning Disability Team

In short, a the FA have made tremendous strides in the development and provision of footballing opportunities for disabled players. So broad is the subject, these pages could never include it all. Instead, I will merely attempt to point you in the right direction.
