In
2005 the Wheelchair Football Association was formed to govern
the sport of Wheelchair Football in England. The WFA works closely
with the English FA and other disability sports organisations
to develop the sport.
The WFA run the England Wheelchair football team which has just
returned from Japan where it took part in the 2007 Wheelchair
World Cup.
Despite
beating Portugal 6-0, the team were unlucky not to qualify for
the knockout stages

Wheelchair Football Team
The WFA national football league kicked off its inaugural season
at the Arena Sports Centre on 17/11/07. The league comprises of
two divisions and fixtures are arranged on back to back days over
the weekends.
